OpenStack Spring 2012 Design Summit & Conference

This April, right after the MySQL Conference & Expo, I'll stay around the San Francisco Bay Area for another week, as I've been invited attend the OpenStack Spring 2012 Design Summit & Conference.

This being my first OpenStack conference, I'm thrilled to have been invited to the Design Summit. I also have a talk proposed for the Conference, but as the organizers evidently want to keep the suspense up and are releasing the talk schedule in late March, I'm still waiting to hear back whether that's in fact being accepted.

This conference gives me the chance to meet up with a bunch of familiar faces. Monty Taylor and Jay Pipes, whom I both know from their MySQL and then Rackspace days, now have key technical roles on the OpenStack project working for HP. Adam Gandelman, an ex-coworker at Linbit, is now on the Ubuntu Cloud team at Canonical. And Fedora DRBD package maintainer Major Hayden is attending in his Rackspace capacity.

So this will be fun. And San Francisco is usually a great place to be in mid-April. If you're around, please drop me a note.
