More details on OSCON 2012, and your chance to get in cheaper!

A few more details on my speaking slot at this year's OSCON, titled Highly Available Cloud: OpenStack Integration with Pacemaker.

Since the OSCON selection committee notified me that my speaking proposal had been approved, I've gotten a few additional details.

My talk is scheduled for 11:30am on Wednesday, July 18, in the Cloud track in rooms D139-140. It's a 40-minute slot with some pretty stiff competition, most notably Thierry Carrez' Ten Commandments of Open Innovation. Which doesn't make it easy to pick, really, but such is the nature of OSCON, as always. You can never catch all the talks you want to see, there's just too many great ones.

Obviously, my talk is going to be a continuation of sorts of my OpenStack Conference presentation — or really, a progress report on the things decided at the Folsom Design Summit.

Of course, those two are far from being the only OpenStack centric talk. Besides the talks in the main conference program, there is also a full OpenStack Day (Tuesday July 17) organized by Monty Taylor. So if you're into OpenStack and live anywhere in the Americas, this year there's really no excuse for not coming to OSCON.

And guess what, I can help you get in cheaper! The OS12FOS discount code (which I've been given as a speaker, with instructions to share freely) will earn you a 20% registration discount. And the Best Price offer ends May 3! So grab your pass today and see you in Portland!
